Gallop to Greatness: Bullying Intervention

The Gallop to Greatness program is an Equine Assisted Experiential Learning model that uses natural horse and herd behaviors to encourage self-awareness and give participants insight into their own way of thinking, as well as into patterns of behavior in their lives they may want to change. This includes their perception of themselves and how they treat others as well as their perception of others and how others treat them.

The program is designed to teach participants they have what it takes to be great and how being unkind is hurtful and harmful even if it's unintentional. The participants then have an opportunity to apply what they've learned by teaming up with one of our equine and take a collaborative effort within a team to identify success and failure based on the team’s defined goal(s). This approach is intended to address social interaction issues by: increasing confidence, self-awareness, self-esteem and comradery by providing every individual a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for the goals and outcomes of the exercises from start to finish.

The objective is to equip participants with skills to help them find solutions through effective communication and strategic thinking, work together more congruently as a team and treat others with respect, and kindness as well as to build confidence, self-esteem, and empathy and show them how to Gallop to Greatness together.
